Caring For Our Feathered Friends

The kindergarten classes have recently completed our study of how animals survive in winter. We made bird feeders to help the many Maine birds that stay active in the cold weather. We learned that, although many of our backyard friends adapt to winter conditions, they often depend on humans when the food supply is scarce.
